Yaletown Gallery launched its first Emergence! New Artist Series show, which ran from March 22 to 28, 2009, in the historic Yaletown District of downtown Vancouver, Canada. Featured artists included Eyoälha Baker, Adelle Bueno, Andrew Dexel, Amanda Emery, Mary Finlayson, Shakun Jhangiani, Carla Rasmussen, Ann-May Rhodes and musical guest The Land of Deborah.
Emergence! was a monthly effort to establish a legacy of art collecting and appreciation of local artists, create a dynamic movement in Vancouver’s multi-cultural visual art scene, bridge the gap between artists and the community, and create opportunities for emerging artists.
Vancouver City Limits is a live weekly showcase of emerging music talent hosted in multiple venues in Vancouver.
From August 18 to 27, 2008, Ben Navaee Gallery, located in the heart of Toronto’s film district, hosted a Lithograph and Print Show.
